Vulcan XM655 Taxi-Run, June 2008
These pictures were taken at the Wellesbourne Wings and Wheels event on June 22nd 2008. Vulcan B.Mk.2 bomber XM655 made two taxi-runs along the runway, one slow and one fast. The bomber is no longer airworthy but the pilot sometimes lifts the nosewheel off the runway during fast runs, although it wasn't possible on this occasion due to a very strong crosswind on the runway. You will notice in the pictures below that the lighting conditions were constantly changing due to the speed with which the clouds were being blown across the sky.
